Pearl River Piano Stars At NAMM

Pearl River Piano is the world’s largest piano manufacturer. At NAMM in the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, California along with 120,000 other visitors, media and exhibitors Pearl stood out like no other brand.

The exhibition was founded in 1901, stands for the National Association of Music Merchants, although, since its inception, NAMM has evolved from a national retail association into an \ international association whose members now include commercial companies, distributors, affiliates and manufacturers.

Marco was able to sit down for an interview with Mr. Tshua Leng the World Sales and Marketing Director for Pearl River Piano. There booth was packed with people wanting to explore, play and buy one of Pearl River Pianos. It was like sitting down with an old friend. Mr. Leng mentioned that he remembered my speech when I visited Pearl River Piano last year. A great way to start an interview that turned into a conversation.

Pearl River Piano was established in 1956 in Guangzhou and is 70% state owned and a listed company. Pearl River Piano (PRP) produces a royal collection of upright and grand pianos. They produce several name brands and also OEM for other famous brands.

European Experts state Pearl River Piano’s Kayserburg pianos exhibit exceptional acoustical sound with a German precision craftsmanship. PRP Ritmuller RSH Series encounter 200 years of craftsmanship with a blend of innovation with modern technology.

When one sees Mr. Leng at a piano it is just as natural as the sun coming up or going down. As he spoke I could picture him there. He was sitting in Singapore watching his grandmother play classical piano at two years old and was mesmerized. He was drawn to it. It was organic.

Mr. Leng stated, “The piano industry is a hands on industry. The piano has not changed. Inherently when people play the piano it is the essence of the human race. One cannot replace that essence with a digital button. Playing the piano is hard work. It is a time commitment and you either get in or you don’t. People need messages and we at Pearl River Piano should be the purveyor.

Their factory is located in the new economic development zone in Guangzhou in Guangdong Province. Guangzhou is a great manufacturing and international city in China. It is common to see people from across the world visit it. The new economic zone has provided Pearl River Piano a marvelous campus with a lot of room to expand and grow. The future for Pearl River Piano is big. They already have a solid acoustical piano business and a growing digital piano business headed by my friend Mr. Liu.

Mr. Leng stated, “Pearl River Piano has been and will be expanding into other musical instruments and speaker as all are comprehensively related.” A well known Music Professor David Brennan from UCLA even joined in on the guitar.

Touring their campus, offices and manufacturing facilities in Guangzhou NewsTodayWorld.org  watched first hand the care and precision Pearl River uses in every phase of their manufacturing process. Pearl River Piano is the world’s largest piano manufacturer producing over 500 pianos a day. Fryderyk Chopin Expert Profess Edward Wolanin from the University of Music, Warsaw, Poland.

Another treat was Jazz pianist Cliff Hotten playing at the Pearl River booth at NAMM and oh my was it good! Hollywood news anchor Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe who grew up with Boesendorfer and Steinway and graduated in piano added: Big bravo to this great product line!
