Most robots announced this year want to work in a warehouse. Echo wants to sit across a table from you and have a conversation.
Realbotix Corp, listed on the TSX Venture Exchange as XBOT and over the counter as XBOTF, launched Echo on October 26 from Las Vegas as its new flagship humanoid platform, built for companionship, education and wellness. Orders are open exclusively on the company’s new direct-to-consumer website, Realbotix.com.
The first run is small on purpose. Realbotix will make 225 Tabletop units and just 25 Full Body units, with delivery in the second half of 2027. A $199 deposit reserves a unit for priority delivery. Organizations ordering 10 or more can ask sales about volume pricing.
Two sizes, two very different price tags
The Echo Tabletop costs $11,950. It weighs about 25 pounds, measures 13 by 13 by 32 inches, and has 17 degrees of freedom, so its head, face and upper body can move in many small, distinct ways. Realbotix pitches it for one-on-one education, therapy and personal wellness, where eye contact and expression matter more than walking around.
The Echo Full Body costs $59,950. It weighs about 88 pounds, has 39 degrees of freedom, and stands 72 inches tall in the female version and 77 inches in the male version, with fluid upper-body movement. Picture it in a reception area, a classroom or a care setting where a full presence changes how people respond.
Both use ultra-realistic proprietary silicone-based synthetic skin, advanced facial expressions and built-in chest speakers. That skin covers the face and neck, and on the Full Body also the arms from the elbows down, including hands and fingers. Both support over 100 languages and respond in the language you speak to them.
Four characters, not one generic voice
Echo does not ship as a blank slate. Buyers choose from four characters, each with its own personality, voice and interaction style. Aria is the established character returning for this platform. Joining her are Mila, Dave and Amar.
That choice matters. A tutor for a shy teenager should not sound like a companion for an older adult living alone, and neither should sound like a wellness coach. Realbotix is betting people will stick with a robot they actually like talking to.
Echo connects natively with ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. Access runs through the Realbotix Robot Configuration App, with a subscription required and tiers starting at $19.99 a month. Faces, heads and bodies are modular and can be replaced separately. The robots are manufactured in the United States.
The indoor counterpart to a busy week
Echo lands in a busy moment for machines that move and machines that talk. Over the weekend, eight pilots raced flying cars over Ohio. In Australia, a 45-kilo drone is heading for the bush to do hard delivery work far from cities. Echo is the indoor counterpart: less about speed, more about whether a machine can hold a useful, kind conversation.
Vinci sees the room, and keeps the data at home
The optional extra that may decide Echo’s success is Vinci, Realbotix’s patented vision system. Offered as an add-on, it processes what it sees on the device itself, with sub-second latency.
Vinci adds facial recognition, emotional cue recognition, gaze tracking and spatial and temporal awareness. In plain terms, Echo can tell who it is talking to, notice where you are looking, pick up cues in your expression and keep track of what is happening around it. That is what turns a speaker with a face into something that feels present.
Realbotix paired that with a clear privacy pitch. Conversations and visual data can remain local. Histories, memories and face templates are stored locally, not uploaded to Realbotix, and the company says they are not used for ads, analytics or training. For therapy, education and home use, that is the condition that lets a school board or a family say yes.
One planned addition arrives in 2027: a digital AI twin of your character, with the same personality, voice and encrypted memories, across phone, tablet, computer and the physical robot. Talk to Echo in the kitchen, then pick up the same conversation on your phone later.
What it means in practice
For educators, the Tabletop is the obvious start. It is serious money, but a school, tutoring center or therapy practice can budget for it, especially with volume pricing at 10 units and up. A patient, multilingual tutor that never tires of repeating an explanation has real value for learners who feel embarrassed asking a person the same question five times.
For families and caregivers, the pitch is different. Echo will not replace human care, and Realbotix does not claim it will. It can fill quiet hours, prompt a wellness check-in and hold a conversation in a person’s own language. Chief executive Andrew Kiguel described Echo as a major step in the company’s mission to improve human lives through social robots, creating companions that support, educate and care for people in meaningful ways.
For buyers, the honest takeaways are timing and scarcity. Delivery is in the second half of 2027, not next month, and only 250 units are in this first group. A $199 deposit buys a place in line. The subscription, from $19.99 a month, is part of the real cost alongside the $11,950 or $59,950 price.
That patience may suit early adopters. The first 250 owners will shape what social robots look like outside a trade show booth. If the conversations feel natural, if Vinci’s local processing keeps trust intact, and if the four characters prove genuinely distinct in daily use, Realbotix will have sold not a spectacle, but a companion people chose to bring home.
