Halloween week is here, and New York is not doing it halfway. The latest roundup from @nycfunevents covers Monday, October 26 through Sunday, November 1, 2026, and it reads like a proper seven-day plan: a live podcast-style night in Brooklyn to open the week, comedy midweek, burlesque on Thursday, a free block party on Friday, a full Halloween Saturday with two parades, and a park festival on Sunday to bring the pace back down. Eleven highlights are listed in all, spread across Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens, so nobody has to cross the whole city for every single plan.
Monday and Wednesday: Littlefield Starts the Week
The week opens tonight, Monday, October 26 at 8 PM, with The Witch Wave LIVE! at Littlefield in Brooklyn. It is an early start to Halloween week, the kind of Monday plan that turns a normal work night into the first costume-adjacent outing of the season. If you would rather laugh than shiver, Wednesday, October 28 at 8 PM brings the Halloween Punderdome back to the same Littlefield stage. Wordplay, groans and a crowd that knows exactly what it signed up for – that is the deal there, and the 8 PM start leaves the rest of the night open.
Thursday and Friday: Burlesque and a Free Block Party
Thursday, October 29 at 6:30 PM, Halloween Burlesque takes over House of Yes. The early start time is handy: you can catch the show and still be home at a sensible hour, or treat it as the first stop of a longer night in the neighborhood. Friday, October 30 at 6:30 PM may be the best value on the whole list. The Zombie Disco Block Party on Elizabeth Street in Manhattan is listed as free, outdoors and built for dancing in costume. A free street party on the night before Halloween tends to draw a big, friendly crowd, so arriving close to the 6:30 PM start is the smart move.
Saturday, October 31: Halloween Itself
Saturday is Halloween, and the list gives you five ways to spend it. At 12 PM, the Halloween Harvest Festival fills Socrates Sculpture Park, a daytime, outdoor pick that suits families and anyone who wants their Halloween in daylight. At 4 PM, the Queens Night Market holds its season finale – go hungry, because a season finale at a night market is as much about the food stalls as the costumes around them.
The evening belongs to the parades. At 6:30 PM, the Park Slope Halloween Parade brings the neighborhood celebration to Brooklyn, and at 7 PM the Village Halloween Parade takes over in Manhattan, the city’s signature Halloween night out and one of those events every New Yorker should stand on the curb for at least once. The night closes at 10 PM with House of Hallucinations at House of Yes, a return trip to Thursday’s venue for the people who saved their biggest costume for last.
Sunday, November 1: One Last Festival
After Saturday, Sunday keeps it gentle. At 11 AM, the Brooklyn Festival of Arts and Music takes place in Prospect Park. An 11 AM start in the park, with art and live music, is a calm way to close a week that began with a Monday night out and peaked with two parades. It is also the only Sunday event on the list, so there is no hard choice to make – show up, walk the park and let Halloween week end in the open air.
How to Plan the Week
A few practical notes. The @nycfunevents post lists dates, times, venues and neighborhoods for every highlight, and it names the Zombie Disco Block Party as free. It does not list ticket prices or ticket links for the other events, so check the venue page for Littlefield, House of Yes or the Queens Night Market before you set out, especially for the Saturday night parties, which can sell out. The post also tags @littlefieldnyc, @houseofyesnyc, @caveatnyc and @queensnightmarket if you want to follow the venues directly.
If this week follows the pattern of the last few, planning ahead helps. Our guide to the best NYC events last weekend, Oct. 23-25 covered the sake tasting and harvest festival stretch that led into this week, and the earlier Halloween weekend guide, Oct. 23-25 is still a useful map of the season’s big rooms. For the week before that, see NYC This Week, Oct. 18-24. Pick two or three favorites from this new list, sort the costumes early, and Halloween week will take care of itself.
