Kate Linder – A Star Beyond the Screen
In Hollywood, where the line between performance and persona often blurs, few figures shine with the authentic warmth and enduring passion of Kate Linder. Best known to millions as Esther Valentine on the CBS daytime hitshow The Young and the Restless, Kate has long been a beloved presence in America’s living rooms. But to stop at her Emmy-winning television career would be to miss the truest dimension of her life: her unwavering devotion to causes greater than herself. Her bestie and Manager Sandra Siegel, herself a successful agency, producing and management legend in Hollywood summarized what Kate stands for: Kindness paired with enormous energy and always there for others. Thats why we endorse her on the current SAG-AFTRA ballot (more about that below!).

Kate is a woman whose heart is as much in the community as it is on the screen. For decades, she has championed advocacy, philanthropy, and service — from her humanitarian efforts abroad to her tireless work with charitable organizations here at home. And this summer, she once again put her compassion into action with an unforgettable event benefiting the ALS Network.
The Reception That Sparkled with Purpose
On a sunlit Sunday, August 17, 2025, the 9176 Gallery on Sunset Boulevard became the epicenter of glamour, generosity, and heartfelt remembrance. The official Kate Linder Reception & Art Sale to Benefit the ALS Network was not merely another Hollywood charity function; it was a fusion of art, legacy, and activism.

The gallery’s whitewashed walls gleamed with vibrant paintings and delicate sketches by Molly Wolveck — Kate’s late mother, whose creative soul left a profound imprint not only on her daughter but on everyone privileged to encounter her art. For Kate, offering her mother’s pieces for this cause was deeply personal.
“My mother always believed art could heal, inspire, and connect us,” Kate shared with the audience. “By sharing her work today, I’m carrying her vision forward — and helping to support families who need it most.”
Guests, a mix of Hollywood insiders, philanthropists, and community advocates, moved slowly through the space, pausing at each canvas with reverence. What began as a celebration of visual beauty quickly deepened into an emotional experience — a gallery transformed into a temple of remembrance and hope.
About Molly Wolveck
Molly Wolveck was more than Kate Linder’s mother — she was a woman of rare sensitivity and talent. Her artworks, often infused with subtle emotional layers, carried the essence of resilience and grace. By donating Molly’s collection to the ALS Network benefit, Kate wasn’t just offering pieces of art — she was offering pieces of history, memory, and love.
The ALS Network: Care, Research, and Advocacy
At the heart of the evening was the mission to fuel the ALS Network. One of the nation’s leading ALS organizations, the network operates across California and Hawaii, serving over 2,000 people annually who are navigating the devastating diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS — also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that robs people of their ability to move, speak, and eventually breathe. More than 5,000 new cases are diagnosed each year in the U.S., with an average life expectancy of just two to five years post-diagnosis. It is relentless, unforgiving — and, at present, incurable.
The ALS Network, however, stands as a lifeline.
- They have invested over $17 million in ALS research, funding trials and therapies that bring hope closer each year.
- They provide care and resources, ensuring that patients and families are not alone in their journey.
- They drive advocacy campaigns, taking 50,000+ actions annually to shape policy and increase visibility.
- They host 20+ community events each year, uniting families, patients, and allies in resilience.
The iconic Walk & Roll to Cure ALS, held each fall at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, has become the network’s signature rally — and Team Kate Linder has been a cornerstone presence for years.
“Every painting, every step at the Walk, every dollar raised — it all matters. It all brings us closer to a world without ALS.” – Kate Linder
Kate Linder: Advocate, Actress, Leader – The power-woman that deserves your vote !
As she continues her decades-long career on The Young and the Restless, Kate is also stepping into new leadership roles. This year, she is running for three of the highest positions within SAG-AFTRA:
- National Board (Ballot #73)
- LA Local Board (Ballot #10)
- Convention Delegate (Ballot #114)
Her candidacy underscores what her philanthropic work has long shown: Kate Linder is a woman who leads by example. Just as she stands by ALS families, she stands by her fellow actors — advocating for fair representation, creative opportunity, and stronger support systems within the industry. Celebrity Anchor Laura Aronson came from yesterday’s Television Academy Hall of Fame Gale to todays special fundraiser. Design Star Kikki Wong – The Lady in Red – came with son Max and Patricia Darbo looked so admirable with her amazing summer outfit – classy and stylish! KTM and Evolutionist award’s jeweler Al Alexander Harris represented the power house Al and Raquel with their amazing fundraiser events coming up in the next Oscars season named Cufflinks and Pearls.

The Team Behind the Star
Behind every star who dedicates themselves to advocacy stands a team of professionals who amplify their mission. Kate’s publicist and manager are celebrated by her colleagues as dedicated, visionary, and unwavering in their support of her career and philanthropic outreach. They are the ones who help transform her dreams into real events, connecting Hollywood glamour with urgent causes.

But make no mistake — while her team provides structure, the heart is all Kate. Her compassion is genuine, her devotion relentless, and her follow-through absolute. She is the rare public figure whose private sincerity matches her public persona.
A Golden Heart in Hollywood
To watch Kate Linder in action is to understand the true meaning of stardom. Not the red carpets, not the glitzy premieres, but the ability to mobilize community, honor legacy, and spark hope where it’s most needed.
Her golden heart carries both the strength of her convictions and the tenderness of her love for her late mother, Molly. It beats in rhythm with every ALS family she uplifts, every cause she champions, and every life she touches.

As the final guests left the gallery on Sunset Boulevard, the walls seemed to glow — not just with the brilliance of Molly Wolveck’s art, but with the enduring warmth of Kate’s vision: that through compassion, advocacy, and unity, even the most insurmountable challenges can be met with grace.
Kate Linder reminds us that true Hollywood royalty are not those who collect awards, but those who use their platform to give back, to lead, and to love.
