In her keynote speech, Dr. Lianlian Lin, President of Professors and Experts Federation, indicated that Cross-cultural exchange involves different languages and cultural contexts. Sujiu’s autobiography tells the stories of China and overseas Chinese in English, which is an example of cross-cultural exchange between China and the United States. We should not only promote Chinese culture within the Chinese community but also spread it to mainstream society in local languages to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the Chinese and American peoples. Professor Lin used vivid examples to illustrate three basic strategies for coping with cultural differences: cultural compatibility, cultural avoidance, and cultural innovation. Dr. Lin also mentioned her visits to the National Museum of China, the Overseas Chinese History Museum of China, the National Library of China, and the Museum of Family Letters in Renmin University of China. She recommends that we make full use of these connections to promote in-depth cultural exchanges and the preservation of historical records. The participants also shared their stories and information about future cultural events.

Alice Gao, Chair of the RCAO Economic and Trade Committee, commented that this cultural exchange symposium provided a platform for mutual learning, communication, and cooperation. It not only promoted the exchange and integration of diverse cultures but also allowed us to experience the power and charm of culture. Deedee Gao, founder of the Global Leadership Development Foundation, stated that we are all bridges connecting one another through cultural sharing and economic cooperation. Such a gathering is more than just an event; it is a gathering of energy, a resonance of hearts, and a reflection of the warmth and resilience of the Chinese people.
