ANTA’s Grand Opening of its Flagship Store in Beverly Hills marks a milestone moment for Chinese sports brands entering the United States marketplace. The launch highlighted the company’s first major step into the North American and U.S. consumer market and attracted a very large crowd of invited guests, community members, business leaders, and media. One could easily say the event was packed. Choosing one of the world’s most prominent luxury retail districts for its debut underscores the ANTA brand’s ambition to establish an elite presence in North America while connecting with global consumers. The opening represents a key development in the company’s international marketing strategy and long-term globalization plan.

Beverly Hills has long been known as a destination marketplace for luxury shopping and hosts many of the world’s leading fashion and athletic brands. ANTA’s decision to open a directly operated store in Beverly Hills emphasizes a shift away from traditional overseas expansion models often dependent upon third-party distributors. Instead, ANTA is leveraging its own brand identity through a direct-to-consumer retail approach, creating a path of globalization centered on brand autonomy, product innovation, and growing cultural confidence.

Designed around the concept “Eastern Aesthetics with Global Expression,” the approximately 280-square-meter store blends contemporary Chinese sports fashion with American casual style using visual elements in a soft “China Red” tone. The retail space features a full range of ANTA products available in China, including the KAI series, HELA lifestyle line, PG7 cushioned running shoes, and C202 racing shoes. The store layout presents ANTA’s commitment to accessible performance technology supported by intelligent manufacturing. Complimentary milk tea beverages were served to guests, extending the warmth of Chinese hospitality to visitors and a swarm of media attending the opening and the celebration was festive.

The store’s interior design presents motion and action, drawing customers directly into the spirit and upbeat lifestyle of sport. ANTA positions itself not only as an athletic apparel company but as a lifestyle brand. The Beverly Hills location represents a flagship platform for star-powered events, community engagement with local running clubs, participation in basketball culture, and educational seminars and workshops designed to directly interact with consumers. Two NBA stars attended the Grand Opening, strengthening the brand’s connection through athletics and popular culture. Kyrie Irving, ANTA’s global basketball ambassador and chief creative officer, and Klay Thompson, who has partnered with the brand since 2015 to develop the KT signature line, were both present. During the ceremony ANTA announced a lifetime partnership with Klay Thompson to continue promoting basketball and advancing the sport’s culture internationally.

Klay Thompson currently plays for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association after spending his first 13 seasons with the Golden State Warriors, where he became widely recognized as one of the greatest three-point shooters in the game. Thompson is a five-time NBA All-Star and a four-time NBA champion. Both athletes represent the level of discipline, preparation, and dedication required to reach the top level of sport, values that align naturally with the company’s messaging.

The company’s earlier soft opening featuring the KAI 3 Lunar New Year limited edition drew significant attention and demonstrated thoughtful promotional planning tied to the Chinese Lunar New Year season. ANTA has made clear it did not simply enter North America to sell products but intends to participate in grassroots communities and local sports culture. ANTALAND, scheduled to open at the world-famous Santa Monica Pier and centered around Kyrie Irving during NBA All-Star Weekend, will further strengthen person-to-person engagement with North American consumers.

CEO Tsui stated in an interview with the Eastern TV Broadcasting LLC team: “The flagship store represents a pivotal step in ANTA’s global strategy. Opening a directly operated consumer store in the United States is not just about selling products. We hope to use our products as a medium and our retail space as a window allowing global consumers to experience the strength and cultural warmth of a Chinese brand.”

NBA star Kyrie Irving exemplifies what many athletes who reach the pinnacle of professional sport understand — the meaning behind the words: “To Bring the Transcendent Sports Spirit Into Everyone’s Life.” The motto reflects authenticity and inspiration that ANTA seeks to introduce into the marketplace.
