On a glittering evening in Hollywood, the Television Academy once again raised the curtain on its most prestigious tradition: the 27th Television Academy Hall of Fame Induction.

This event, reserved for the true giants of television history, honored six legends whose names are forever etched into the medium’s golden pantheon: Viola Davis, Don Mischer, Ryan Murphy, Conan O’Brien, Mike Post, and Henry Winkler.

The evening unfolded with elegance—cocktails, a lavish dinner, heartfelt speeches, and applause for careers that have shaped popular culture for decades.

It was a celebration not only of artistry and achievement but of the power of television itself to inspire, entertain, and unite generations.

Two of the nicest people in Hollywood – Chris an Emmy Governor and amazing Actors Governor Kate Linder have been true highlights of the Gala. Kate is a diamond of the candidates on the SAG -AFTRA board and we fully endorse her ! She stands for true support for actors, success, loyalty and hard work. A real life super woman of Hollywood all her colleagues adore. “Vote for  Kate!”, H.H. Dr. Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe adds.

H.H. Dr. Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe, the European royal, television personality, and philanthropist was so honored to join this grand event. Invited by Laura Aronson from the Television Academy, the Prince was so excited, underscoring the global influence of television as both an art and an industry.

The Television Academy: The Custodians of Television History

Founded in 1946 by Syd Cassyd, the Television Academy of Arts & Sciences was created to honor outstanding achievements in an industry still in its infancy. While most know the Academy as the organizer of the Primetime Emmy Awards, its mission goes far beyond award nights. The Academy functions as a guardian of television’s legacy, promoting excellence and recognizing contributions that have shaped the medium’s cultural impact.

Over the decades, the Academy has grown to include over 20,000 members, representing every sector of the industry—performers, directors, writers, producers, designers, and craftspeople.

It is the beating heart of television’s professional community, connecting past legends with future innovators.

The Hall of Fame: The Immortal Honor

Launched in 1984 by then-Chairman John H. Mitchell, the Television Academy Hall of Fame was envisioned as a way to honor individuals whose work transcended entertainment, shaping culture itself. To be inducted is to join a select society of visionaries who have not only entertained millions but also influenced the very fabric of storytelling.

More than 150 icons have been inducted since its inception. Walt Disney, Lucille Ball, Carol Burnett, Johnny Carson, Mary Tyler Moore, Bob Hope, Norman Lear, Oprah Winfrey, Shonda Rhimes, Angela Lansbury, Barbara Walters, and many more—these names illustrate the breadth and brilliance of the Hall’s members. Each induction ceremony is a reminder that television is not just entertainment but history, art, and culture in motion.

The 2025 Class of Legends

This year’s inductees represent the pinnacle of excellence in performance, storytelling, production, and cultural influence.

Viola Davis: A Triple Crown Powerhouse

Viola Davis stands as one of the most respected actresses in the world. With an Oscar, an Emmy, and two Tony Awards, she is the first Black actor to achieve the Triple Crown of Acting. From her unforgettable performance in Fences to her groundbreaking role in How to Get Away with Murder, Davis has consistently delivered characters of raw truth and complexity.

But Davis is more than a performer—she is a voice for change. Through her advocacy for representation and opportunities for marginalized communities, she has used her platform to challenge Hollywood’s status quo. Her induction is not only a recognition of her artistry but of her leadership in shaping a more inclusive industry.

Don Mischer: The Maestro of Live Television

When the world thinks of grand television spectacles—the Super Bowl halftime shows, Olympic ceremonies, and Academy Award telecasts—the creative mind of Don Mischer is often behind them. With over 15 Emmy Awards, Mischer has redefined the art of live television.

From Michael Jackson’s unforgettable Super Bowl performance to the awe-inspiring Olympic openings, Mischer’s work has given billions of people around the globe memories to last a lifetime. His induction celebrates the brilliance of producing television not as a broadcast, but as a shared cultural experience.

Ryan Murphy: The Visionary Storyteller

Television has been forever transformed by Ryan Murphy, whose storytelling has embraced daring subjects and shattered conventions. From the audacious Nip/Tuck to the groundbreaking Glee, and from the chilling anthology American Horror Story to the deeply human Pose, Murphy’s work is defined by boldness, inclusivity, and innovation.

His tribute to his son and Dana was so touching, and his anecdotes of Bette Davis and love for Sarah Paulson.

Murphy has championed underrepresented voices and reimagined the possibilities of TV drama and comedy. His induction cements his role not just as a producer but as a cultural architect, reshaping the television landscape for generations to come.

Conan O’Brien: The Late-Night Original

With a lanky frame, razor-sharp wit, and a self-effacing charm, Conan O’Brien became a household name and one of the most original voices in comedy. After early success as a writer for Saturday Night Live and The Simpsons, O’Brien stepped into late-night television, where he hosted for nearly three decades.

Conan’s surreal humor, innovative sketches, and willingness to laugh at himself won him a devoted fanbase. His current success with the hit podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend shows his ability to adapt, proving that comedy, when authentic, is timeless. His Hall of Fame induction honors a career dedicated to making millions laugh.

Mike Post: The Soundtrack of Television

Few composers are as inseparably linked to television as Mike Post, the man behind iconic theme songs that define generations of TV watching. Law & Order, Hill Street Blues, Magnum P.I., NYPD Blue, and The A-Team are just a few of the legendary themes he created.

Winner of both Emmy and Grammy Awards, Post’s compositions are instantly recognizable around the world. His induction celebrates not just a composer, but a creator of cultural soundtracks, reminding us that television is as much about what we hear as what we see.

His heartwarming tribute to his brother and his parents was amazing. And grandma bought his first piano. A quote to remember: Family is Everything!

Henry Winkler: From Fonzie to Emmy Darling

For millions, Henry Winkler will always be remembered as The Fonz, the leather-jacketed heartthrob of Happy Days. But Winkler’s career has spanned far beyond that role. Actor, producer, director, and author, he has built a multi-faceted career that continues to thrive.

His recent Emmy-winning performance in HBO’s Barry has proven his versatility and reminded audiences that great talent endures. Beyond acting, Winkler is beloved for his children’s books and his advocacy for literacy, making his induction a recognition of both artistry and humanity.

Prince Mario-Max loved this historic night symbolizing  the global reach of television. A royal descended from European royalty, Prince Mario-Max has built his own reputation as a TV host, journalist, and cultural ambassador. His presence in Hollywood’s most glamorous halls was a meeting of tradition and modernity, royalty and entertainment.

The Prince expressed his admiration for the honorees, recognizing how their work transcends borders, bringing stories, laughter, music, and inspiration to audiences worldwide. For him, being invited to witness such a ceremony was an honor—an affirmation that television is a universal bridge, connecting people across nations and generations.

The Hall of Fame Legacy: Icons Forever

As the night concluded and the six honorees joined the illustrious ranks of the Hall of Fame, the sense of history was palpable. Since 1984, the Hall has enshrined names like Lucille Ball, Walt Disney, Bob Hope, Carol Burnett, Norman Lear, Mary Tyler Moore, Oprah Winfrey, and Shonda Rhimes. Each induction is not just a celebration of an individual, but a recognition that television has the power to shape society itself.

The 27th induction ceremony was a perfect reminder that television is more than a medium—it is memory, identity, and art. With Viola Davis, Don Mischer, Ryan Murphy, Conan O’Brien, Mike Post, and Henry Winkler now immortalized in the Hall, the legacy of television shines brighter than ever.

What a special celebration with Laura Aronson my hostess

There are people who quietly adapt to life’s changes, and then there are people like Laura Aronson—who doesn’t just adapt but transforms every new chapter into a dazzling story of success. From Long Island roots to the sparkling lights of Los Angeles, Laura has carved out a celebrity place for herself in a way that is both fearless and deeply inspiring.

Laura is more than a news anchor, reporter, and writer – she is an icon and cultural voice bridging coasts, passions, and generations. After establishing herself as a trusted anchor in New York, she could have stayed comfortable in the familiar routine. But Laura is no stranger to bold moves. Her leap to Los Angeles is more than a career step; it’s a life chapter written with the ink of courage. She swapped icy New York commutes for sunlit mornings with matcha in hand, embracing LA’s spirit of wellness and creativity with open arms.

And yet, this is not simply a relocation story. Laura embodies the balance so many dream of: maintaining her East Coast authenticity while thriving in West Coast opportunity. She has made networking in Hollywood seem effortless, yet behind her achievements lies relentless dedication, discipline, and passion for storytelling. At events, she moves with the confidence of someone who belongs on every red carpet, every premiere, every conversation that matters.

What sets Laura apart is her authenticity. She doesn’t just cover culture—she lives it. Her followers online get more than a glimpse of events; they get a curated narrative of what it means to dream, hustle, and shine in an industry that often demands quick wins. Laura, however, plays the long game. Whether she’s collaborating with beauty and lifestyle brands, covering milestone moments like Saturday Night Live’s golden anniversaries, or spotlighting the voices often overlooked in media, Laura curates content that resonates because it is real.

Her passion for journalism stems from her deep respect for the power of storytelling. From her early days in college, when mentors pushed her toward broadcasting, to her years covering major events for ABC affiliates, Laura has understood that journalism isn’t just about reporting facts—it’s about connecting to the human heart behind them. She has interviewed celebrities, political leaders, and everyday heroes, but she approaches every story with the same mixture of empathy and professionalism.

Equally impressive is Laura’s adaptability. She understands today’s audiences—raised in an era of quick scrolling, short attention spans, and viral media. Instead of resisting the change, she leans into it. With projects like her new collaboration with Breaking News Babe, Laura proves she knows how to deliver content that is concise, relevant, and engaging without ever losing depth. In this way, she bridges old-school journalistic integrity with the vibrant demands of digital culture.

Beyond her professional brilliance, Laura is also the quintessential bi-coastal personality. In Montauk, she celebrates summers by the sea, keeping alive her New York roots with fireworks, friends, and tradition. In LA, she flourishes under the palm trees, balancing glamour with wellness and creativity. This duality—New York grit and California glow—makes Laura a uniquely magnetic figure in media.

Her story is not only one of professional triumph but also of personal courage. To leave behind the familiar, to pursue dreams across the country, and to thrive in a city where so many falter requires resilience, vision, and belief in oneself. Laura has all three in abundance.

Laura’s friend had the most amazing jewelry of the night: Meredith Thomas wore Joseff of Hollywoods Queen Charlotte Jewels right off the big screen. Can’t get any better !

In every sense, Laura Aronson is more than a journalist- she is a storyteller of life itself, one who inspires others to chase their dreams, embrace change, and never be afraid to leap toward the unknown. Whether in a newsroom, on a red carpet, or sharing insights on social media, Laura proves that success is not just about reaching the destination—it’s about boldly living the journey.

Jon Burlingame presented such an amazing speech for his friend.

And Disney’s icon Dana Walden held a heartwarming speech for Ryan Murphy. She has become one of the most influential figures in the modern entertainment industry, guiding Disney through an extraordinary era of change, growth, and achievement. Born in Los Angeles, she built her career step by step, beginning in public relations and marketing before transitioning into television programming at 20th Century Fox. Her keen eye for talent, ability to recognize cultural trends, and instinct for creative partnerships quickly propelled her into leadership roles. By the late 1990s she was already shaping television history, helping launch programs that became cultural cornerstones and leading Fox Television Group with vision and authority.

When Disney acquired 21st Century Fox in 2019, Walden’s role expanded into one of the most powerful in the company. As chairwoman of Disney Television Studios and ABC Entertainment, she began overseeing an immense portfolio of networks, studios, and streaming platforms. Her leadership style combined sharp business acumen with a deep respect for creative voices, helping to usher in series that balanced commercial success with critical acclaim. In 2022 she was named Chairman of Disney General Entertainment Content, and soon after, she rose even higher as Co-Chairman of Disney Entertainment. Today she oversees ABC Entertainment and News, FX, Hulu Originals, National Geographic, Disney Branded Television, and Disney Television Studios, among others.

Walden’s vision has reshaped Disney’s presence across television and streaming, delivering record-breaking recognition and global impact. In 2024 Disney captured historic Emmy success with hits such as Shogun, The Bear, and Only Murders in the Building, collecting over 180 nominations and dozens of wins. She has also been instrumental in launching the Onyx Collective, a platform that amplifies underrepresented voices and has already produced groundbreaking works like Questlove’s Oscar-winning Summer of Soul. This commitment to diversity and inclusion underscores her belief that entertainment must both reflect and influence culture in ways that resonate with all audiences.

Her contributions have not gone unnoticed. Walden is set to receive the Milestone Award at the 2025 Producers Guild of America Awards, joining the ranks of past honorees like Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. She has also been repeatedly listed among the most powerful women in Hollywood, a testament to her influence not only on Disney but on the entire entertainment industry.

As Disney looks toward the future, Walden’s name frequently emerges in discussions about succession. With Bob Iger scheduled to retire in 2026, she is considered one of the top contenders to become the company’s first female CEO. Her proven ability to navigate the complexities of global media, her long track record of nurturing hit shows, and her visionary leadership style make her an undeniable force in shaping Disney’s next chapter.

Dana Walden’s career reflects both ambition and artistry, combining strategic leadership with a passion for storytelling. Her journey from Fox to Disney is a story of persistence, creativity, and excellence, and her work continues to redefine what entertainment can achieve. Whether through Emmy-winning dramas, inclusive new platforms, or the promise of future leadership at Disney, Walden has already secured her place as one of the defining executives of her generation, a woman whose influence will continue to ripple across Hollywood and beyond.
