VALENTINO New York and Terraforma’s L’Atelier Sonore! H.H. Dr. Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe loved it

A Night of Sound, Style, and Splendor

On September 4th, the heart of New York pulsed to a new rhythm. Valentino, the legendary maison of couture, joined forces with Terraforma to create an unforgettable experience: L’Atelier Sonore – An Intimate Journey Through Sound. Hosted at Valentino’s prestigious flagship on 654 Madison Avenue, the evening proved that when high fashion meets avant-garde sound, magic happens. My friend Irma Segal is such a diamond of VALENTINO, thank you for this magical night.

Karen Chapman, Edna Khalili, the entire A Set of NYC came out to celebrate great music at Valentino.

A Legendary Brand in a Legendary City

Valentino’s heritage of timeless elegance and modern artistry has always stretched beyond the seams of haute couture. Founded in Rome in 1960, the maison has dressed royalty, icons, and visionaries. Its Madison Avenue location is more than a boutique — it’s a cultural landmark, where architecture, design, and craftsmanship converge. Pairing this history with Terraforma, an innovator of sound-driven experiences, set the stage for a night that blurred the boundaries between art, fashion, and music.

The Evening Unfolds

As guests arrived, they were welcomed into a transformed Valentino space glowing with light, shadow, and chromatic atmospheres that reflected the event’s visual identity. The evening began not with speeches, but with vibrations — sounds weaving through the air, inviting guests into a meditative yet electrifying mood.

The highlight was the special vinyl-only sets, a rare and intimate gesture in today’s digital age. Each artist brought a unique narrative:

  • Hassan Rahim, celebrated for his visual and sonic artistry, set the tone with an atmospheric, boundary-pushing performance. His curated set echoed Valentino’s ethos of redefining tradition with bold vision.
  • Aurora Halal, the underground queen of electronic exploration, layered hypnotic rhythms that brought the audience into a collective dream state. Her sound, immersive and transcendent, embodied Terraforma’s ethos of sonic journeys.
  • Bobby Beethoven, the enigmatic talent, closed the evening with raw energy, weaving unexpected beats into refined vinyl artistry. His name may nod to classical grandeur, but his sound was modern, playful, and utterly unforgettable.

A Fusion of Worlds

What made L’Atelier Sonore extraordinary was not just the music but the fusion of worlds. Valentino’s heritage of craftsmanship met Terraforma’s innovative storytelling. The event reminded everyone present that fashion is not just what we wear — it is what we hear, what we feel, and how we move in the world.

A Night to Remember

As the night drew to a close, guests lingered, reluctant to leave the spellbinding atmosphere. Conversations flowed as smoothly as the music had, a mix of fashion insiders, cultural innovators, and tastemakers who understood they had witnessed something rare.

With L’Atelier Sonore, Valentino and Terraforma delivered more than an event — they offered a vision of the future where couture and soundscape exist as one. It was, in every sense, a masterpiece of collaboration: intimate, iconic, and undeniably Valentino.
