Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe: Independent 20th Century 2025 – 4th Edition Casa Cipriani NYC

New York City shined brighter than ever as the Independent 20th Century Art Fair returned for its Fourth Edition at the legendary Casa Cipriani, the jewel of the Battery Maritime Building. Known for its members-only elegance, marble staircases, and old-world grandeur overlooking New York Harbor, Casa Cipriani transformed into the ultimate salon for collectors, tastemakers, and visionaries.

Among the distinguished guests, H.H. Dr. Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe was radiant, celebrating the very newest art trends with enthusiasm, refinement, and joy. The Prince’s presence highlighted the fair’s VIP atmosphere, where heritage met innovation, and the dialogue between past masters and modern creators came alive in the most glamorous setting imaginable. The Prince invited Diplomat HE Ambassador Dr. Hugues Sanon to the sensational art fair. HE had awarded H.H. Dr. Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe for hosting NYFW 2025 with the excellence in Media Award.

The Galleries & Their Prestige

Inside Casa Cipriani’s grand halls, the world’s finest galleries brought their treasures to the collectors’ floor.

Cristin Tierney Gallery, Jhaveri Contemporary, Danielian, Tureen, Sea View, Jernesy Scholar, Rosenberg & Co, Galerie Lelong, Thyrza Seltzall Gallery Without Walls, Nahmad Contemporary | Skarstedt, Luxembourg & Co, Hales, Weinstein Gallery, Salon 94, COSMOCOSA, Calvaresi, Hollis Taggart, Forum Gallery, Galerie Gmurzyńska, John Sooke Gallery, Bernard Goldberg Fine Arts, Richard Saltoun Gallery, Galerie Brigitte Schenk, Addison Rowe Gallery, Michael Hoppen Gallery, Lowy Fine Arts, Jupiter, PA Artworks, Mariposa.

From Paris to Palm Springs, London to Los Angeles, the fair assembled an international chorus of voices, affirming New York as the world capital of art, glamour, and collecting.

Casa Cipriani: The Glamorous Stage

What better home for this cultural summit than Casa Cipriani, the Art Deco-revived masterpiece by architect Thierry Despont. A private club by day, and an icon of elegance by night, Casa Cipriani evokes the golden age of travel, with its riviera-style terraces and harbor views. Guests sipped champagne under crystal chandeliers while previewing canvases, sculptures, and visionary works that redefined 20th-century art.

The venue itself felt like an artwork—bridging New York’s past as a maritime hub with its role today as the heartbeat of global culture.

A Prince Among Collectors

At the crossroads of glamour, art, and history stood H.H. Dr. Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe, delighted to witness this spectacular edition. His Highness embraced the moment as art, fashion, and diplomacy converged—reflecting his role as a global cultural ambassador. The Prince’s presence electrified the room, where art was not only displayed but celebrated in royal style.

Independent 20th Century 2025: A Legacy of Elegance

With lectures, performances, and curator-collector conversations, the fair was more than an exhibition—it was a full immersion into the brilliance of the last century. Collectors, celebrities, and patrons moved between booths in Casa Cipriani’s marble-lined halls, each step reaffirming that art is not just created, but lived.

The fair confirmed once more: New York remains the city where art finds its stage, its audience, and its soul.
