If you have been waiting for the big Halloween weekend in New York, this is it. From Friday, October 23 through Sunday, October 25, 2026, the roundup from @nycfunevents lists twelve events across Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens-adjacent Governors Island and the Bronx: a festival at Industry City, a dog costume contest in Fort Greene Park, a parade on Southern Boulevard, a haunted house in Tribeca and a comedy fundraiser in Williamsburg to close the weekend. Pick one night and go all in, or treat the list like a menu and build your own three-day run.
Friday, October 23: Three Parties, Three Neighborhoods
Friday night starts at 9 PM with the City of Gods Halloween Festival at Industry City in Brooklyn. Big industrial space, big costumes – it is the kind of event where you plan the outfit first and the rest of the night second. At 10 PM, Nightmare in Brooklyn takes over KEYBAR in Bushwick, a smaller room with a neighborhood feel. Then at 11 PM, the Yoi Toki Halloween Dance Party gets going at DROM in the East Village, for anyone who wants to end the night on a dance floor in Manhattan. Three start times, staggered by an hour each, so a determined group could honestly try more than one.
Saturday, October 24: The Full Day
Saturday is the day to clear your calendar. It opens at 10 AM with the Pumpkin Point Festival on Governors Island, an easy ferry ride and a proper fall morning for families. At 12 PM you have a choice to make: the Great PUPkin Dog Costume Contest in Fort Greene Park, where the dogs do the dressing up and the crowd does the laughing, or the Bronx Halloween Parade along Southern Boulevard, one of the weekend’s classic street celebrations. You cannot do both at noon, so pick your borough.
Saturday night turns the volume up. At 7 PM, Blood Manor Haunted House in Tribeca is the pick for people who plan their October around a good scare. At 10 PM, Danny Tenaglia’s Boo Yourself at Superior Ingredients in Williamsburg closes the night with a headline DJ set in costume – the sort of party where the dance floor stays full late.
Sunday, October 25: Markets, Cemeteries and Comedy
Sunday slows the pace without losing the theme. At 2 PM, the Morbid Market at Erf Gallery in Bushwick is the place to shop for odd, handmade Halloween finds. At 2:30 PM, the Cemetery Scavenger Hunt starts at Green-Wood in Brooklyn, turning one of the city’s most beautiful historic cemeteries into an afternoon puzzle. At 5 PM, the Green-Wood After Hours Tour offers a quieter, guided way to see the same grounds as the light fades. The weekend ends at 7 PM with the Halloween Comedy Fundraiser at Eris in Williamsburg – costumes optional, laughing guaranteed by the format, and a good cause attached to the night out.
How to Plan It
A practical note: the @nycfunevents post lists times, venues and neighborhoods for every event, but it does not list ticket prices or ticket links, so check the venue or event page before you head out if cost matters to you. Family plans cluster early – Pumpkin Point on Saturday morning and the dog contest at noon are built for kids and daytime energy. The late-night plans cluster in Brooklyn, with Bushwick and Williamsburg carrying most of Friday and Saturday night. Whatever you choose, costumes are the common thread: nearly every event on this list rewards showing up dressed.
